24/7 mobile stores revolve around the concept of catering for short-term needs around the clock, seven days a week. This model offers flexibility for customers and operators alike – staff the store during peak business hours during the day, for example, and have it fully automated and self-service overnight. The advantages for your retail customer are obvious: lower labor costs and continuous opening hours ensure higher revenues and improve profit margins in the long term.

Customers gain access by scanning a QR code in the operator’s app or a barcode on a store card. This is done twice – first at an external point to access the store entrance area and then at a gate solution to enter the store. The system automatically identifies the customer number and the individual entering the store is authenticated. They can then move freely through the shop and make their selections from what’s on offer. Once they have finished shopping, they go to the checkout area.

During checkout, products are recorded digitally and anti-theft protection is removed during scanning. This can be done via customer’s smartphone or a dedicated store scanner. We have a variety of self-service checkouts with optional add-ons like equipment mounts and extended stainless steel shelves (picture above right). The customer then pays with their preferred method and an additional QR code is sent that enables them to leave the store via an exit gate.
